About Shannon

Wildwood Petcare came from my passion and love of animals which started at a young age when I was surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and turtles. My affection easily led to volunteering my time as a veterinary assistant then working my way through training and progressing into a veterinary technician.

My family grew as I became an advocate of rescuing homeless and medically challenged animals from Mexico and locally, while also providing them with a loving home and necessary comprehensive medical care.

This dedication led to fundraisers hosted in my home for a local dog rescue group, Labrador Rescuers of San Diego which through my efforts raised thousands of dollars and awareness for this organization that is near and dear to my family. In furthering my desire to help animals in need, I facilitate and donate my resources to various animal rescue groups in the community, while also volunteering at a veterinary urgent care and surgery hospital. Keeping my vet tech skills in check with standards is essential for the care I provide.

Wildwood Petcare was naturally born from my enthusiasm to provide a resource for pet parents looking for someone who will treat their pets like family, like I do mine – giving them care, attention, and the respect they deserve.
